Erik has taught at Porter Elementary for the Syracuse City School District in Syracuse, New York for the past 9 years. During his tenure he has taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade. He currently teaches 6th grade and is close to completing his second Masters (CAS) from Syracuse University. Erik has served as a Community of Caring Lead Teacher and an internal coach for PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports). Erik has helped promote and implement Community of Caring values locally and nationally.
