JAMES PAONE, JR.
James Paone, Jr. is a retired third grade teacher from Wheeler Elementary School, part of
Onondaga Central Schools, just outside of Syracuse, New York. Jim received his BA in Education and Psychology from the State University of New York at Brockport and his MS in Early Childhood Education from the State University of New York at Cortland. Jim has taught various primary grade levels and integrated character education into his classroom environment.
Jim has served as President of the Onondaga Central School Teacher's Association and has been a longtime supporter of the New York State Teacher Centers serving as a member of the Policy Board. He has also lobbied for increased funds for education in New York State in Albany, for many years.
Jim has attended the Community of Caring National Conferences in Syracuse, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and Sarasota and has enjoyed learning many new activities and approaches to character education.
Jim was proud to be asked to become a professional development trainer for the Eunice
Kennedy Shriver National Center for Community of Caring and is excited to be a part of the Community of Caring Professional Development Team.
