monica L. ferguson

Monica F.Monica L. Ferguson, M.S., CCC-SLP, is an educational consultant on literacy and communication for school-age children with disabilities, and a speech-language pathologist with endorsements in special education and school administration. She is adjunct faculty at the University of Utah in the Departments of Special Education and Communication Disorders and Sciences. She has served as a speech-language pathologist for the El Rancho Unified Schools in Pico Rivera, California, and as a project coordinator for the Utah State Office of Education, State Improvement Grant in Special Education. Ms. Ferguson provides teacher training on inclusive practices for curriculum-based language and literacy, and has published curriculum for teachers in Nicaragua and Guatemala. She has worked throughout her career in school settings as a practitioner and special education administrator designing and implementing literacy interventions. She is also on the Utah State School of Character Review Panel.
